The DESY Guesthouses are located on the DESY campus and are not open to the general public.
Access is restricted to people connected to DESY activities.
A reservation cannot be made before clarifying the reason of the projected stay.
The duration of stay onsite is limited. Only short-term visits are possible.
Other guests cannot make use of DESY guesthouses.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your reservation!

Please note:
Reservations are made for single individuals. For security reasons, it is not permitted to pass on a room key to a colleague.

New reservation requests concerning the day can only be processed until 12:00 p.m..
On Friday, new reservation requests relating to the weekend can also only be processed until 12:00 p.m..

Information about local hotels can be provided. However, the DESY hostel team cannot make hotel reservations.

Due to the non-smoking law passed by the German Federal Government smoking is forbidden inside buildings.
As a result smoking is not permitted in any of the DESY guesthouses.

Cancellation policy:
Reservations can be cancelled free of charge by e-mail until 12:00 p.m. on the date of arrival.

A no-show fee of 25,00 Euro will be charged if the reservation is not cancelled in due time.

Reservation changes will only be processed by e-mail.


Lost keys:
A fee of 50,00 Euro is charged for each lost key.

Check-In

Check-In: from 3:00 p.m.
You can Check-In at the DESY main gate at any time after 3:00 p.m.

Before receiving the key, each guest must fill out a registration form.
If you would like to enter the room before 3:00 p.m., you have to make a reservation starting on the day before.

Check-Out

Check-Out: until 10:00 a.m.

The DESY Hostel room must be vacated until 10:00 a.m.. The key will be handed in at the main gate. Please return the key immediately after leaving the room.

If the key is not returned on time, an additional night will be charged.

Change of departure date:

If you wish to change your departure date, please inform us immidiately by e-mail.

If you wish to extend your stay, you can only stay in the room if you have received confirmation from the DESY Hostel team.

DESY Hostel - Office

The DESY Hostel team is located in building 6, room 118.

The office hours are from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..

Please note that the DESY Hostel office is not staffed on weekends and public holidays.

Payment of the hostel invoice

During office opening hours, the invoice for your stay can be paid by card.

The invoice can also be paid within 14 days by bank transfer.

After departure you will receive the invoice by e-mail.
